In 2014 the GCW Global Heavyweight Championship was created to be a world title exclusive to the Livewire brand and equal to the GCW World Heavyweight Championship that remained exclusive to the Shotgun brand. The Global Title remained active until August 2nd, 2022.

Marie Annabelle Jones earned this title opportunity along with Melody Williams by virtue of winning Lethal Lottery. It appeared as if Melody and Marie were going to tear one another apart but then they showed that it was all a ruse as Melody assisted Marie in defeating Malcolm Cross to become the GCW Global Heavyweight Champion.
