GCW Founder Matthew Alan Under Arrest

RALEIGH, NC: The professional wrestling world was rocked to its core with the arrest of Matthew Michael Alan. Matthew was the founder of Global Championship Wrestling, a company he started back shortly after the year 2000. A merger between GCW and rival promotion IDW was the primary cause of Mr. Alan losing all of his shares of ownership in GCW. He would attempt to regain his company on several occasions but would fail each time. The GCW Founder has always maintained a luxurious lifestyle, despite losing his company, and now it is suspected that this may be due to embezzlement, tax fraud, and other white collar crimes for which the FBI has detained him, refusing to release him pending further investigation. His estate and affairs are currently being handled by his sister, Aurora Alan. Current GCW Owner Glory Braddock had the following comments regarding Matthew Alan's arrest: "While Global Championship Wrestling understands that it owes a debt of gratitude to Matthew Alan for having the vision of GCW, we also recognize that we cannot live in the past. We must look towards the future, a future that does not need us to be associated a man who may very well be guilty of such crimes as the ones Matthew is being accused of. I hope that justice will be served."

Matthew's sister Aurora Alan and his daughter, former GCW World Tag Team Champion Geneva Alan, were both unavailable for comment.
