The Civil War Match takes place in two stages: the battle royal stage and the triple threat stage. In the battle royal stage there are three separate rings, each with twenty wrestlers. Each ring will be composed of ten Shotgun wrestlers and ten Livewire wrestlers to make up the twenty per ring. The battle royal stage will continue until all three rings have a winner. The triple threat stage will NOT begin until there is a winner from each ring. That means if you win your ring early, you get a rest period! That also means if you are the last to win your ring then you get NO break. But if you do manage to win your ring, your battle royal, then that means you are guaranteed a reward of some sort and this is where the triple threat stage comes into play.
The Triple Threat Stage is no disqualification, no count outs, but the pin or submission must occur inside one of the three rings. Unlike most triple threat matches, this triple threat stage is NOT one fall to a finish. You are eliminated in this triple threat stage by PIN or SUBMISSION only. Again, this is no disqualification and no count out. The third place winner will earn a Tag Team Title Match (world tag or global tag, your choice) at Resurrection. The second place/runner up will receive an undercard singles title shot of their choosing at Resurrection. The winner of the Civil War Match will main event Resurrection against either the GCW World Champion or the GCW Global Champion...the winner's choosing...with the championship on the line.
