"The Golden Standard" Alexander Midas

Post by Sinner » Fri Oct 23, 2015 1:22 am

Real Name: Alexander Midas

Name (if different from above): 'The Golden Standard' Alexander Midas

Height: 5'9

Weight: 210

Age: 31

Hometown: Beverly Hills, California

Alignment: Heel

Picbase: Jason Hotch

Wrestling Style: High-Flier/Technical/Rule Breaker

Entrance Theme: "All That Glitters Is Gold" by Aliases

Finishers:

The Midas Touch (Iron Claw)
The Golden Rule (Brainbuster)

Entrance Description:

The lights suddenly turn off, and a golden hue lights up the entire arena. Gold-colored glitter then starts raining down upon the crowd and stage. "All That Glitters Is Gold" by Aliases then starts to play over the sound system, and 'The Golden Standard' Alexander Midas makes his way out onto the entrance area. Alexander glances around at the fans jeering them, and an arrogant smirk settles itself on his face. Alexander starts walking down the ramp towards the ring, pointedly ignoring the crowd... after all, to him, they are completely and utterly beneath him.

Alexander walks up the ring-steps and has the ring announcer hold the ropes open. Once inside, Midas then climbs up to the top turnbuckle, posing for his 'adoring public'. This doesn't go over very well, as you can imagine. Midas then lounges on the top turnbuckle via the ropes, waiting for the heat from the crowd to die down... after all, he has more far important issues at hand to deal with, and he needs them to shut their mouths.

Gimmick: Arrogance personified, Alexander is after two things in life... fame and fortune. Wrestling is the platform by which he will accomplish these things... at least, that's the plan. Don't let all his bluster and bravado fool you, though... in the ring, he is a merciless technician with an amazing high-flying game, who has a rather sadistic streak inside him.

Biography:

The man known as Alexander Midas is the son of Richard and Melanie Midas. Alexanders Father was a successful Businessman, so they never lacked for money. Alexander was spoiled rotten as a child, and it continued as he grew into his teens and then young adulthood. Alexander, however, became bored with life... and despite his Parents wishes of going into the Family Business upon graduating College, he decided to go down his own path. However, he wasn't sure what that would be.

He did like sports, and he was fairly successful at them in high school and college... but none of them really held his interest. So he drifted aimlessly, not knowing what to do with his life... until one day, while watching television, he ended up watching a wrestling program, and he became enthralled with the action and colorful characters. At that moment, inspiration struck him. Alexander knew what he wanted to do with his life... become a professional wrestler.

Needless to say, his parents were NOT happy... but there was nothing they could do to dissuade him. Alexander immediately began to search for a wrestling school where he could train. It took a few months before he found the perfect place... The Dungeon of Pain ran by a John Reinhart, who used to wrestle as a masked man named The Unknown. Alexander quickly signed up to the school... he thought the training would be easy, that he was prepared for anything the trainer could dish out...

He turned out to be very, VERY mistaken.

Reinhart ran Alexander through a grueling schedule. There wasn't a part of Alexander that wasn't hurting after each session. But, to his credit, Alexander hung in there... determined to become a professional wrestler. It took several months, but eventually Alexander graduated The Dungeon of Pain with flying colors. Reinhart then helped Alexander get a match with a local indy fed called California Championship Wrestling. It was a tryout match... if Alexander impressed, he would get more matches with the fed.

Alexander definitely impressed.

So, for the next several months, Alexander dominated the competition in California Championship Wrestling, followed by a stint in GCW. Midas has since returned to GCW... planning to dominate the GCW ranks, one step at a time.
