Livewire 11.16

Post by randy » Wed Nov 23, 2022 1:15 am

Livewire opens up with Jazmyn Rain in the center of the ring and she’s already being booed out of the building. She obviously doesn’t give a damn about what the fans think of her and she’s definitely feeling angry as she begins to express her thoughts.

Jazmyn Rain: I’m PISSED OFF right now and no, it’s not because of you ungrateful bastards and treating me the way you’re treating me despite everything I’ve done for you people… I’m pissed off because for some DAMN reason, I CAN’T just… you know… END Angelica Jones already. I keep getting a crack at her in some form or another and it’s always ending in BULLSHIT! WHY can’t I get the definitive finish that I want? WHY can’t I have my god damn revenge? I’ve tried over and over to knock her down and for some reason, she ALWAYS slips away! I mean… fucking HELL… I thought Trenton Snow a few years ago when it took me an eternity to beat him one on one was something… but… this is just a whole different level of frustrating. I came here to settle this and get my revenge on that bitch, but I also came here to relive the glory days that you were ALL so PRIVILEGED to witness! I was and STILL AM one of the best GCW has ever had and I KNOW I can make GCW revolve around ME again but I can’t move on to all of that as long as that FUCKING DRAGON is lurking! I’m SICK of this shit! I’m SICK of the Jones family… and I swear to GOD that this needs to END! I’ve been haunted by this for more than FOUR years and ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!

“Oh quit the bitching.”

Angelica Jones emerges at the top of the ramp flanked by her daughter and tag team partner for the evening Kimberly Williams. The fans cheer loudly.

Angel: I gave you a chance to get your revenge at Declaration of War. You could have beaten me right then and there. Instead of proving to be the better wrestler you decided to try and end my career. Now I get it, I tried to end your career so you wanted to end mine. Fair enough. But now looking at what you’ve done since then, what you’ve been saying…

She shakes her head.

Angel: You sound pathetic. You want to paint my family as the big bad? Like we have some kind of special privilege? Have you even paid attention to us? We’re hardly United. We barely like each other. But yeah, it’s a great big conspiracy to keep YOU DOWN?! That makes no sense. And I’m done trying to be kind. If you want to end me, give it your best shot. But I’m not holding back. I will try to end you.

Jazmyn takes in some of the words that she’s hearing and she’s definitely not happy whatsoever.

Jazmyn Rain: You? KIND? Don’t make me laugh. Most people in your messed up family don’t even know what the word “kind” means. I mean, you just said it. You barely like each other. And speaking of being kind… you know… how like I was the last time I was here… that’s all I ever tried to be. I wanted to be accepted. I wanted to get along with just about anyone. But the constant BULLSHIT… the constant NONSENSE… being JUDGED for a mental condition I had at the time… you think my issues are just with you? They’re NOT… but you just happen to be the BIGGEST one of them all. But I’m sure even YOU are sick of this shit just like I am and if you can’t agree with that, then I don’t know what to tell you. One thing that I KNOW we can agree on is that this has to end… and this WILL end… on MY terms. You give me what I want… and I’m not going to blindside anymore. I’m done with the kid games. So I’ll offer up something for you in FOUR simple words…

SEVEN STAGES OF HELL!

The crowd reacts with total shock at those four words that they just heard.

Angel: Seven Stages of Hell? Jaz! I never knew you cared! That’s just what I wanted for Christmas! And I agree, this does need to end. So you’re on!

The crowd cheers loudly in anticipation of this big match.

Jazmyn Rain: Revenge is going to be MINE… don’t think I am offering this to give YOU any sort of present or any sort of advantage! There’s ALWAYS a reason behind what I do… and when I FINALLY get my revenge, it will FINALLY be clear to you. Aubrianna and I will be seeing you and Kim later… you know… when we’re kicking your teeth down your throats!

Jazmyn winks and drops the microphone as she begins to head out, clearly amused at herself for stealing Kayla’s catchphrase.

Angel: Cute. But as far as tonight goes, The Dragon and The Queen of the Death Match are going to tear you both apart.

Kim: one, two, Kimmy’s coming for you!

Jazmyn takes a pause as she walks up the ramp, looks back at both of them and just scoffs, not worrying whatsoever as she turns and continues her walk through the curtains.

Backstage…

Samuel Price can be seen standing by with the Global Destiny World Championship briefcase holder, Miss America.

Price: “That’s right… my guest at this time, by virtue of the briefcase in her possession, has a guaranteed World Championship match any time she wants it. Please welcome Miss America…”

America: “A pleasure as always, Samuel, but I do have to correct one thing. The briefcase in my possession? Mere decoration.”

Price: “But you won the Champ…”

Miss America nods.

America: “I know, I know. I won the Championship match. But do you really think I would jeopardize my opportunity by letting someone’s “nine-tenths of the law” nonsense prompt them to steal the case? The contract is still mine, locked away in a safe place where it’ll remain until I decide to use it.”

Price: “A remarkably sound strategy.”

America: “And one that you’d figure more people would employ, but you know what they say about smarts in the bizz.”

Price: “Beyond that, you’re currently embroiled in a heated rivalry with the Bling Emp…”

America: “Please, Samuel…”

Price: “Sorry… the “Basic” Empire.”

America: “It’s funny, ain’t it? These girls come along spouting all the same nonsense that groups like them have said before… groups that have actually been successful… and yet they claim that they’re gonna be different. Well, they’re different, all right. Being compared to the Sovereign? Anyone should be honored by that… those bitches were Champions. #GingerNation? They set Championship records. All this “Empire” has done is concoct conspiracy theories when they fall short. But it’s no conspiracy… they’re just facing the wrong people. They’ve come up against the cream of the crop! GCW Unified World Champion, D’Nae Moore. Nadia Allan, a former World Champion in her own right. Envy Ellis, one of the toughest bitches on the planet. And me… Miss America, America’s FAVORITE daughter. We ain’t about to be taken advantage of by some self-important “force” bent on domination. We’re the ruling class here… and that Class is one the BASIC Empire ain’t got a prayer of passing.”

Miss America winks to the camera before walking off. The scene shifts.

Aleki Kekoa IN ACTION
[El Perro is the debut opponent for Aleki Kekoa. Perro with a spinning heel kick and a dropkick and a superkick but none seem to have any effect. El Perro goes for a springboard moonsault but Aleki catches him in mid-air and drops him with a power slam. Aleki with a short arm clothesline and then a pop up power bomb. Aleki sets El Perro up and drops him with My Divine Right. The cover…1…2…3!]
WINNER: Aleki Kekoa

Backstage the cameras cut to GCW Hall of Fame journalist Janice King (the first ever!). Her guest standing to her right is the now blonde but still deadly Sophie O’Brian who smirks arrogantly and condescendingly at the camera.

Janice: Ladies and gentlemen I am Janice King…THE FIRST EVER journalist to be inducted into the GCW Hall of Fame! Take that, Dexter!

Sophie: Congratulations on that, by the way.

Janice beams with pride, not realizing that Sophie is just manipulating her.

Janice: Thank you! It is nice to be appreciated by someone like you, a legendary tag team specialist and former world champion! Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Sophie O’Brian!

Sophie nods her head.

Sophie: My pleasure.

Janice: You were unable to become GCW X Division Champion against Mara Kade. But tonight you take on someone who hopes to get that title for herself, and that is Mariah Starr.

Sophie: Correction…Mariah “The” Starr.

Janice: Right…

Sophie chuckles softly.

Sophie: Here is wisdom…Avoid those who seek friends in order to maintain a certain social status or to open doors they would not otherwise be able to approach.

Janice: Uh, ok. What does that mean?

Sophie: Just use your brain, Janice. I’m sure a HALL OF FAMER such as yourself can figure it out.

Sophie condescendingly pats her on the head.

Sophie: Mara Kade believes that I valued her X Division Championship. The truth is that I do not value her championship. I value something greater than a strap with gold that has my name printed on it.

Janice: What is it that you value if not championships or winning?

Sophie: I value many things, Janice. Pay attention to what I say and do and maybe you can figure it out. But one thing I will give you for free is that I value competition. Competition sorts out the weak from the strong. Survival of the Fittest in its basic form. Nature would have the weak die out and the strong live on. But I am not as heartless as nature. I want to help the weak to improve their status in life. If only they listen to my wisdom. My wisdom provides strength and life to the weak.

She pats Janice on the back.

Sophie: I could even help you, Janice.

Janice: Uh, let’s just focus on tonight. Don’t you have any thoughts or words about your match against Mariah?

Sophie: Therein lies your problem. It is a problem that many who are weak suffer from. You think short term. You think of the present when you should be planning for the future as well. The brilliant chess masters are the ones who think two or three moves ahead, Janice. I am not overlooking or undermining the importance of facing someone like Mariah. As you said, she is trying to become X Division Champion. Defeating her certainly would boost my own goals. But unlike the weak, I do not put all my eggs in that one basket. I do not allow my entire plans hinge upon successfully defeating Mariah here tonight. Setbacks are normal in warfare, Janice. So if I suffer one tonight then so be it. I can afford to be patient.

--

Mariah “THE” Starr can be seen backstage preening in front of the mirror. The camera catches the camera in her reflection, and a smile curls on her lips.

Mariah: “Isn’t it beautiful, having a guaranteed Championship match? It means that I could take a wonderful extended vacation, work on my tan, and have my spot firmly intact.”

She smiles, finishing her make-up.

Mariah: “And why shouldn’t it be? I embody “Starr Power”. I’m the type of talent people would travel for hours to be in the mere presence of. Someone like Mara Kade… she doesn’t understand what that’s like… the quality it takes to be THAT marquee name. But I’ve been it all my life.”

Mariah presses her lips to the mirror, leaving her lips on it as she smirks again.

Mariah: “Just wait… once I assert my will and become X-Division Champion, the whole company will rise to another level. It’s clockwork.”

She lightly brushes the lip mark on the mirror with her thumb before exiting the scene.

Sophie O’Brian Vs Mariah “The” Starr
[The match begins with Sophie attempting Scorched Earth Policy, though she intentionally avoids hitting Mariah. The purpose was distraction. It works and Sophie drops her with a flying forearm. Sophie with Death To Wisdom and then a bridging German suplex for a one count. Sophie locks in Wisdom. Mariah eventually reaches the ropes. Sophie locks in an ankle lock. Mariah again reaches the ropes. Sophie attempts Wisdom from on High but Mariah avoids contact. Mariah with a superkick and then a bulldog takedown. Mariah with Kick Me Deadly for a cover and a two. Mariah with a springboard hurricinrana and then a superkick. Mariah with a lionsault for a cover and a two. Mariah goes for The Brightest Starr but Sophie gets her knees up. Sophie connects with Ode To Braddock. She covers but Mariah gets her foot on the bottom rope. Sophie goes for Hagia Sofia but Mariah avoids contact. Mariah with Kick Me Deadly. Mariah with Starr Struck. The cover…1…2…3!]
WINNER: Mariah “The” Starr

“Criminal Mind” by Maestro feat. Infinite and Gowan begins to play out over the temporarily-bewildered crowd. Their confusion is replaced by hostility as the woman who the new music belongs to steps through the curtain…

Robert E Lee: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the GCW Heritage Champion, Svetlana Iryna Nabokov… SIN!”

The Heritage Champion strides out from the back, her Championship wrapped around the waist of her form-fitted gown. The crowd boos while the commentators recap her recent successful, albeit controversial, defense against Izzi Grimes. As SIN steps into the ring, she poses in the centre, never removing the Championship from her waist. She goes to the corner, bidding for the microphone, as the crowd continues to boo.

SIN: “I know why you react as you do.”

She nods as she paces the ring.

SIN: “You dislike me because of the methods I employ to garner success in this discipline, yes?”

The crowd boos, responding affirmatively to her query. Svetlana nods.

SIN: “You find it unseemly that a woman with such loose morals and iron will would be successful when one so much more sanitised and full of “heart”, one such as Izzi Grimes, would find herself encumbered to overcome me.”

More boos. Svetlana grins.

SIN: “I find your protests to be shallow.”

She laughs.

SIN: “You want a Champion who digs down deep, who overcomes adversity with the will to win. I do exactly that every time I step into the ring, every time my Championship is defended. But when I’m digging down deep inside, seeking to find the will to overcome, I find the way. As the old adage goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way. You take issue with the fact that my way does not speak to your sensibilities.”

Svetlana shakes her head, continuing to pace.

SIN: “I suppose if I spoke in a manner that made me appear “accessible” to you, you would overlook my loose morals and find yourself with no excuse but to recognize my reign and respect me. Then again, maybe not. I am told that I “cheat”... that because I break the rules, I am somehow lesser, but who among you can look yourselves in the mirror and truly say you do not cheat. On your jobs… on your spouses… on your children… on society itself. You run red lights because you cannot be inconvenienced for 30 seconds. You hide little purchases here and there, hoping to not be found out. You lust after the competitors you see in this ring…”

She licks her lips as the boos subside…

SIN: “Hit a nerve, did I? And you expect me to show shame in doing what it takes to be successful?”

Svetlana laughs.

SIN: “No… I feel no shame. I feel no guilt. Why? Because I am successful. Because doing what it takes to be successful works. I will always do what needs to be done… I will dig deep down inside when adversity hits and do what it takes to overcome what is thrown at me. That is what makes me different than anybody else. Others will feign false objectification. They will claim there are biases against them… that forces beyond their control stand in their way. I simply work around them. You see the Bling Empire as the “Big Bad”? Dear friends… I have been blossoming right under your noses, and now I will take what is mine. You think my ceiling is the Heritage Championship?”

She grins, rubbing the faceplate of the Championship around her waist.

SIN: “You will soon learn that I have no ceiling. I will become the be-all and end-all of GCW. It is only a matter of time… and a snap of my fingers.”

With one more grin, Svetlana snaps her fingers in front of her face, dropping the microphone to the mat as her music starts again. The crowd boos as she continues taunting in the ring, sending the scene to shift.

We cut backstage where we find Julia Braddock and her best friend and tag team partner Destiny Skye marching through the backstage area of the arena. The Kensington Knockout is dressed to the nines in a tight black form fitting dress, sheer black tights, black patent leather high heel pumps, and a red women’s blazer over it to complete the outfit. Her long blonde hair hangs unrestrained to shoulder length. In contrast, Destiny is dressed much more laid back in denim jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black leather jacket.

Destiny: Y’know I always support you no matter what, right Jules?

Julia: I sense that a “but” is coming.

Destiny: Well yeah. I mean, you and I have already made a solid case for a future tag team championship match. We’ve beaten three sets of former tag champs. We took another former set of tag champs to their limit. And now that we finally put that awful Kelsai business behind us, we can turn our attention back to the tag team championship. You still believe in Skye Life, right?

Braddock sighs and nods her head.

Julia: Of course I do.

Destiny: Then why are we here? Our matches are next week on Shotgun against Savino and Akeem of Kowloon. You know them, right? The dudes who have a contract for a tag title match anytime they want. They’re practically the number one contenders. Beating them would definitely get us a title match.

Julia: Des, just pause and listen for a second, ok?

Destiny sighs and nods her head.

Julia: Good. For starters we have already earned a place near the front of the line for a tag team title opportunity. We beat Twin Magic, The Soviet Gingers, and The McBride Corporation…all of whom are former tag champions. Like you said, we pushed Fabulous to their limits and I think we would have beaten them too had it not been for interference from Kelsai. I am not overlooking the importance of beating Kowloon. But trust me, Ana and Skylar are upstanding, fighting champions. They won’t duck a challenge and if they retain the titles at Survival of the Fittest, then we may very well be next in line.

She reaches out and places a hand on Destiny’s shoulder.

Julia: But do not limit Skye Life to just the tag team division or just the tag team titles. What is it that you say? The Skye Is The Limit…right?

Destiny: That’s one of my moves.

Julia: It is an appropriate saying too. Because with our combined talent there really IS no limit for us and what we can do. Could we become tag champions? Sure. But could we win the Heritage and X Division Titles? Could one of us become World Champion?

Destiny: You’re still focused on the world title?

Braddock nods her head.

Julia: Yes. At least part of me is. Why can’t we focus on the tag team division and our singles aspirations at the same time? Fabulous tried it, why can’t we and I think we can actually pull it off where they failed. Think about it, Des, your one reign as GCW World Champion is forever tainted in the mire of Mason Van Stanton. And my most recent Global Championship reign came to an end without even being pinned or made to tap out. Wouldn’t you like to at least have the chance to fix that?

Destiny rolls her eyes.

Destiny: Well when you put it like that you do make a good point.

Julia: Exactly. That’s why we’re here tonight. We are scouting the competition and the competition is everywhere and everyone. Whether it is a team like SkyBird, K2O, or even Fabulous, whether it is a singles star like Alexander Jones, Aubrianna Powers, or Jazmyn Rain. Anyone and everyone could potentially decide to step up and take us on and challenge us. Just look at The McBride Corporation. They stepped up to challenge us.

Destiny: And we put them down in that cage.

Braddock grins.

Julia: Right, and we need to be ready to put down the next challenge…wherever it may come.

“Mr. Jones…”

The voice echoes in the darkness, the shadows. Eventually, after a few moments of waiting, a figure emerges from the darkness. It is none other than “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter. The Assassin is dressed in his all black ring gear, a black trenchcoat, and he has his MWE Riot Championship title belt wrapped around his waist. A sinister grin is formed upon his usually cold and emotionless face.

Clyde Sutter: Mr. Jones, you try to present an aura of invincibility but you know and I know that it is all a lie. Every single word that comes from your mouth is a lie, Mr. Jones. But me? Well, I only speak the truth and the truth I speak about you may be hard, it may be difficult to hear, but it is still the truth. The truth, Mr. Jones, is that you are not invincible. The truth is that you have many chinks in your armor. You claim to be superman?

He chuckles softly.

Clyde Sutter: My friend, even superman has kryptonite, the one thing that weakens him. The problem for you is that you don’t just have ONE kryptonite, you have many. There are many weaknesses that make you vulnerable that make you powerless. I have already expanded upon those weaknesses…how your arrogance hurts you in matches. How you are easily distracted and lose focus on the task at hand. But my favorite is how you think being a keyboard warrior makes you tough. Where have you been all this time, Mr. Jones? I have been here on Livewire, Shotgun, and Fever calling you out for your weaknesses and you have only replied on social media. At least, until last Shotgun. You finally decided to show your face on a GCW program again. And even then you still refuse to acknowledge the weaknesses that I called you out on.

He smirks knowingly.

Clyde Sutter: That’s obviously because you know damn well that I am right about you. So allow me to further elaborate on your weaknesses. Tonight, I shall elaborate upon your reliance on other individuals to assist you in your career. Your entourage Veronica Starr and Brodie…and even tonight, your tag team partner…an individual known as SIN…

The Assassin nods his head.

Clyde Sutter: …now the difference between you and me is that I do not need Amber Diamond tonight. I do not need Danielle Page, she needs me. Even at Declaration of War, I did not need those partners of mine for War Games. Braddock and company needed me. But you need Starr, Brodie, and you definitely need SIN tonight if you hope to have a prayer at winning. Furthermore, your weaknesses go beyond just your reliance upon others. You are delusional. See, Mr. Jones, you believe that you decide the time and place. You think you can determine when you get your opportunity at revenge.

Sutters pats himself on the chest.

Clyde Sutter: I am fate’s executioner and FATE alone dictates when this ends, Mr. Jones, NOT YOU! But I will let you in on a secret. Your time is running out and your execution date has already been arranged; it will be at Survival of the Fittest. On that night in front of the whole world I will expose you for the fraud that you are. Like I said, you know you are a fraud, I know you are a fraud, and at Survival of the Fittest, the entire world will know you are a fraud and your time sitting pretty at the top will be over. Tick, tock.

Amber Diamond & Clyde Sutter Vs Alexander Jones & SIN

SIN starts throwing rights and then hits a gordbuster, a flapjack and a Samoan drop. She tags out to Jones. Alexander Jones with a big boot and a huge lariat. He dares Sutter to come into the ring but The Assassin doesn’t take the bait. Jones with a belly to belly overhead suplex. He tags out to SIN. Jones and the Heritage Champion work like a well oiled machine for the most part. SIN is in and whips Amber into the ropes. Sutter blind tags himself in. SIN with a spinning side slam. SIN turns around and gets floored with The Unforgiven Kick. Before Sutter can do anything Jones is in and spears Sutter. Jones whips Sutter into the ropes and rushes in with an avalanche. Jones goes for a lariat but Sutter ducks and connects with a clothesline from hell. Jones rolls to the outside. SIN lands a low blow that goes undetected by the official. Sutter tags out to Amber. Sutter then rolls outside and brawls with Jones through the crowd. SIN goes for a brain buster but Amber slips out from behind and connects with a back stabber. Amber with a superkick. She measures SIN and connects with a superman punch. The cover but SIN kicks out. Amber goes for a spear but SIN avoids contact and Amber hits the steel ring post. SIN goes for a power slam but Amber slips out from behind, goes for The Diamond Standard! But SIN is able to lock in Drop The Iron Curtain! Try as she might, Amber couldn't fight out the hold. The ref calls for the bell when its evident she can't fight back.
WINNERS: Alexander Jones & SIN

We cut backstage to the dressing room of Aubrianna Powers. The very arrogant and self-proclaimed Most Valuable Powers is dressed in her hot pink and black ring gear. Her Zion National Championship title belt is resting on a nearby bench. Obviously Powers is upset as she is pacing back and forth in her dressing room like a caged lion. Her pacing comes to an end when her husband, GCW Hall of Fame journalist Dexter Russell, enters the room.

Aubrianna: Oh thank God you are here! Do you have any news?!

Dexter: I really wish you would not use me as your go between, Aubrey. I am a journalist, I’m supposed to be unbiased.

Aubrianna: Yeah, yeah, I know, journalistic integrity and all that crap. Now gimme the update!

Dexter sighs.

Dexter: You don’t have anything to worry about. You and Jazmyn against Angelica and Kim is just a standard tag team match.

Powers had been nervous up until now. Hearing this brings a grin to the face of The MVP.

Aubrianna: Great! Jazmyn helped make Livewire what it is today! And me? Not only am a former world champion in my own right but I am a tag team specialist! I am a former MCW World Tag Team Champion, GCW Global Tag Team Champion, and Zion Trios Champion. Together, Jazmyn and I cannot lose against those two maniacs!

Dexter: I wouldn’t get too overconfident if I were you. Kimberly is a former tag team champion herself, both here in GCW and in SCW. Of course Angelica is a former tag team champion across multiple promotions as part of The Sisterhood.

The MVP rolls her eyes.

Aubrianna: Big deal! People like Angelica need to be put out to pasture, Dex. People like Kim need to be locked up. And that’s exactly what Jazmyn and I are going to do tonight!

--

[Travis Vessey stands next to Samuel Price, drawing cheers from the crowd. A small grin forms on his face while he rubs his hands.]

Samuel: Yes thank you guys. The energy here at Livewire has been off the charts and we have more action coming your way. Right now, the man I'm standing next to returned a month away after a long layoff. Mr Travis Vessey.

[Travis extends a hand to Price, who shakes it.]

Samuel: Certainty a man that needs no introduction.

Travis: Flattering me as always, Samuel.

Samuel: Would never.

Travis: I won't stop you now. Does wonders for the ego.

[The two share a laugh.]

Samuel: Well, like I mentioned a few moments ago, you defeated Kelsai Adamson Mason in your return and looked as sharp as you ever have been. What's been interesting is that since then, you haven't appeared, choosing to stay in the shadows. We know you've described your rehab from injury as a personal hell and it would seem reasonable to believe you would be chomping at the bit to dive back in.

[Travis shrugs.]

Travis: That's what you would think. I think at this point, everyone knows with me, I'm fully invested. I'm all in when it comes to this sport. The great sport of professional wrestling. That's why I got this ring.

[Travis showcases his Hall of Fame ring to cheers.]

Travis: And because of that, there are certain things I'm able to do that most in the back can't. I have earned the right to show up whenever if I'm not wrestling, like tonight. When I was hurt, Silverstone, the Braddocks, they said Travis, you take as much time as you need. When you're ready, when you're fully healed, come back any time. I have earned the right to have my own locker room because you know, Silverstone know and you fans know I bleed this company.

[The crowd roars.]

Travis: So I'm doing this a little different this time. Being injured forced me to do something I despise. And that's be inactive. I'm always on the go. I have a will to complete and succeed and that doesn't include sitting down and doing nothing. But it' funny, when you don't have a choice, you get revaluations. Things you would have gawked at you now consider. So to answer your question, Sam, I'm investing in a different way. I'm watching everything even closer. I'm surveying the scene. All of my peers are just about gone. Chambers is retired. Lenore is gone. Harker is gone.

[Travis pauses.]

Travis: Guys like Andrew Raynes and Malcolm Cross are long gone. So I'm the last of a certain era of this company. There's new faces among the top. It's a new world. It's adopt or die, Sam. So if that mean I wrestle less, I travel the road less when I'm not wrestling, if that ensures me the best possible position to win the World title again, then so be it.

Samuel: What do you mean by traveling less? Are you back part tim-

Travis: No I'm full time. I'm GCW til the day I die. There is not a greater fanbase in the world than the GCW fans.

[The crowd cheers. Travis smiles.]

Travis: There's not a finer promotion in professional than GCW. And I like to think I played a big role in this influx of great wrestlers coming in. I've earned my stripes. You saw me enter this company as a kid. And you all have seen me humbled, embarrassed, heart broken. You've always seen me overcome that and triumph. I believe that even with all these great new talents like D'Nae and Danielle Page and Jessi Osbourne or even SIN, I am the best wrestler in this company.

[Travis pauses.]

Travis: And I must do whatever I need to do to protect myself and preserve myself to get to where I want to be. That's all that matters to me, Sam. When i was rehabbing and the days where it was tough, I came this close to just giving it up. I've done things most wrestlers in this company will never do. And yet, it wasn't enough for me. It's not enough. I tell Bianca that all the time. It's not enough.

[Travis looks at Samuel.]

Travis: Like I said, it's adapt or die. I refuse to die. I refuse to leave this stage while I still have it.

[Travis steps back to cheers.]

Samuel: Thank you for this time.

[Travis shakes his hand again.]

Travis: Of course.
