SHOTGUN 6.13 RESULTS

Post by Jazmyn Rain » Sun Jul 09, 2017 6:38 pm

I hear, a voice say "Don't be so blind"
It's telling me all these things
That you would probably hide
Am I, your one and only desire
Am I the reason you breathe
Or am I the reason you cry?

Always, always, always, always, always, always,
I just can't live without you...

I love you
I hate you
I can't get around you.

I breathe you
I taste you
I can't live without you.

I just can't take anymore
This life of solitude
I guess that I'm out the door
And now I'm done with you.

I feel, like you don't want me around
I guess I'll pack all my things
I guess I'll see you around
It's all, been bottled up until now
As I walk out your door
All I can hear is the sound

Always, always, always, always, always, always,
I just can't live without you...

I love you
I hate you
I can't get around you.

I breathe you
I taste you
I can't live without you

The crowd in the Sprint Center start to boo and shout obsenities as "Bad Company" hits the speakers and Adrian Waters makes his way to the ring...the GCW World Championship belt is fastened around his waist. He climbs into the ring and grabs a microphone and smirks out at the angry audience as his music fades.

Adrian: "I was hoping for a little respect from you morons, but naturally, I was expecting too much. But, you don't have to like it, although I did exactly what I said I'd do...I defeated that classless, miserable shell of her former self twat Victoria Salinas."

A chant of "VICKY!" starts. Waters shows some annoyance, but then shakes his head and continues his speech.

Adrian: "Of course you look up to her. She's much like all of you...stupid and fake. Yes, you are all fake. How many of you kiss your wives and tell them you love them before leaving for the office...only to 'work late'...translation, boink your secretary, before heading back home at night? Looking around this crowd at all the fat pigs, I can't say I'd blame you...but the fact remains that you are ALL fake. I have studied human behavior extensively and, believe it or not, I have written many articles about this very subject. I know all of you better than you even know yourselves. Hey, sometimes, you have to pretend you're something you're not when there is a worthy goal. My fiance did that...and did it well for months.

You want to know what my beef is? Do you want to know how to distinguish the smart person from the stupid one? The smart person recognizes what they are doing, while the stupid person, i.e. Victoria Salinas, convinces themselves that they are being genuine. Myra always knew she was fooling everyone. Salinas truely believes she is 'reformed' or whatever she wants to call it. But, I'm done beating a dead horse. She lost. I saved all of us from her tarnishing of this World title. I know many in the back appreciate it. You are all welcome."

Adding to the "Vicky" chants are chants targetting Adrian directly, repeating "You suck! You suck!" Adrian's arrogant smirk returns, though.

Adrian: "So what can you all expect from me as the World Champion? Pure genius, that's what. I will continue to do things the way I have been since I signed my first contract with GCW in 2015. I'm no virtuous person. I'm uncensored, blunt, tough as nails, I can outwrestle most anyone...and I am the smartest man in GCW. Those attributes are how I rose to the top so fast in this league as the World Champion, and they are why I will remain here.

Later tonight, I defend this title for the first time against a man who...well, I really don't know what to say about Slade. I can say the man has a kean eye for beauty, as he had tried to pick up my fiance...but beyond that? Hey, I'm not saying he's a push-over like McKinnon or Austin, but he is certainly no Chantelle Chambers or Alexander Midas. It's fine, though. I welcome all comers. Slade, tonight, you get the opportunity of a lifetime...you will get to be inside the ring with the smartest man in GCW. Tonight begins a new era on Shotgun...the era of the Pure Genius World Champion."

Adrian lowers the mic as if he were finished, but then he lifts it back to his face, winding up the audience.

Adrian: "One other thing. I already know I am engaged to the most beautiful and talented woman in GCW...but there is also a benefit in being engaged to a woman of her wealth. Her legal team is looking into something for me. I happened by a certain somebody's contract...and I believe I have found a little something. Don't worry morons, her job is unfortunately safe...but Myra's legal team is looking at some wording that leads me to believe that she is not entitled to an automatic rematch.

I did say I would take on all comers, but if it is indeed the case that Salinas is not owed a rematch, you can be damned sure I'm not going to give her one. Salinas has wasted enough of GCW's time and money...she has had all the attention for far too long. I will make it my mission to ensure that she does NOT get a rematch, because frankly...she doesn't deserve it. Your pure genius World Champion has spoken."

"Bad Company" hits and Waters leaves the ring to massive heat. The commentators speculate about Adrian's claim that Victoria Salinas may not be owed a rematch and how this is more than likely another one of Adrian's mind games. The scene fades.

[Shotgun fades into the locker room and we see Karina Lysenko sitting down on her throne just minding her own business, but looking very annoyed as she watches the proceedings on Shotgun with the use of a monitor. She files her nails for a bit before casting aside the nail filer and blowing her nails.]

Karina: Monroe…

[Monroe Jones immediately walks into the scene, standing in front of Karina and bowing in front of her.]

Monroe: Yes, my queen?

Karina: Why am I not wrestling tonight? Do you have any clue?

Monroe: To be honest with you, I don’t have the slightest idea. I do have a theory, however, if you don’t mind hearing it.

Karina: Humor me.

Monroe: They left you off the card because they can’t handle someone as sophisticated, graceful, revolutionary and splendiferous as you are my Ginger Queen!

Karina: Exactly. It’s the way it’s always been. This company has always treated me like a pile of trash which is why I joined Ginger Nation to begin with. It’s a shame how the Judas and her whore ruined what was once so precious to me. But the little people, they barely know what I am capable of. I deserve more, don’t I?

Monroe: Yes, yes you do!

Karina: They see my new Ginger Empire and they see it as something that’s no threat. They want to shutter my movement as much as they can so they give me the night off while they give matches to Madame Santos and the Stupid One.

Monroe: To be fair, Hannah and Destiny didn’t get a match tonight either. In fact, I’m not so sure they’re even here so it’s not like we can strike up any more controversy, pardon the pun, against them. Revenge is going to have to wait another two weeks at least.

[Karina rolls her eyes, clearly not liking what she heard.]

Monroe: I’m sorry, my queen.

Karina: It’s not your fault. It’s all the machine. The “boss” doesn’t understand what she has in me. But that’s okay. She will. But by the time it does, it’ll be too late. All I know is that I want the Judas in the ring one on one so we can settle this once and for all. It’s on the table. It’s just too bad that she’s like everyone on this show: undervaluing me. She’s going to consider this challenge I just made “not important enough” to even acknowledge. Coward.

Monroe: Destiny Skye will never have what you do, my queen.

Karina: You’re dismissed for the evening.

[Monroe nods and bows again before he leaves the scene. An annoyed Karina sighs and sits there, reluctantly watching the show unfold as the scene fades.]

BROOKFORD vs Masque

[Shotgun’s opening match took place with Brookford looking to make a name for himself after his betrayal of Ian McKinnon and Masque trying to get into the swing of things after not being in action in recent weeks. Masque may have been a little too eager as she tried to start things off with a spinning heel kick, but Brookford ducked it. Brookford then lifted up Masque and planted her with a back body drop. This would turn out to be a bad omen for Masque as Brookford went complete submission on her. Brookford tried to get her to submit to a sleeper hold a cobra clutch and a surfboard, but Masque wasn’t submitting. Brookford would punish her further with moves like a spinebuster, a powerslam and a German suplex, getting a pin attempt on the ladder, but Masque kicked out. Brookford would attempt a back body splash, but Masque rolled out of the way and Brookford landed spine first on the mat. This gave Masque an opening to start to rally back. Masque began the rally with various knee strikes that kept Brookford stumbling. Then came the kicks! The spinning heel kick, the crescent kick, the buzzsaw kick… Brookford fell down and Masque went for the cover after the latter, but Brookford just barely kicked out. Masque kept coming with strikes, including a springboard forearm strike to the jaw, but again, Brookford kicked out of an ensuing pinfall. Masque then went for the “Forever”, but Brookford ducked the Pele kick. Brookford then lifted up Masque and drove her into the mat with the Problem Solved! Brookford wasn’t done as he locked in a rearnaked choke. Masque was completely out and unresponsive after the Muscle Buster and after a minute, the referee had no choice but to call for the bell.]

WINNER (by technical knockout): Brookford

[Brookford took a small bit to let go of the hold, but he did without much incident. He stood up and got his arm raised by the referee. Brookford smirked at what he did as the fans booed him. The announcers talked about how quickly he turned the match around when it seemed like Masque was about to finish him off and how much of a message he potentially sent to Ian McKinnon, wherever he may be. Brookford looked down on Masque who was being helped out of the ring and then he left the ring himself, ignoring the booing fans and still smirking over the win he just got.]

(We cut backstage to the dressing room of Angelica Jones and Kayla Jones.)

Angel: Finally we get our hands on Cody and Christy…

(Kayla nods her head.)

Kayla: They’ve been after a tag title shot for some time now. Between them and Chantelle, I wouldn’t be surprised if some combination gets the next shot.

Angel: They’re going to try and make that case tonight, but we’re not going to…

(Suddenly a can gets thrown in and the door is immediately shut. Gas starts to spew out and quickly engulfs the room. Angelica and Kayla start to cough like crazy and try to get out but the door is blocked. The camera shows outside where we see Alexander Midas, who has jammed the door shut, and is walking away.)

[We cut backstage to find Janice King standing before a GCW backdrop, microphone in hand.]

Janice: Joining me at this time--

[She holds her arm out to the side, palm up as she steps to the left while a small Japanese woman steps into view.]

Janice: --is the recently returned "Pure Heart Warrior", Izumi Sato.

[Izumi bows curtly.]

Janice: You teamed with Nate Lawson two weeks ago to take on Dominic Baine and Meagan Collins - a match you won for that matter. Now you and Queen Mamba rekindle an old friendship from last year to take on JaMarcus Avery and Julia Braddock. What are your thoughts going into this match?

Izumi: Well first, Janice, let's discuss that match two weeks ago with Baine and Collins. There is no doubt in my mind that Dominic Baine's departure from the ring had a direct impact on the outcome of that match. Things may still have gone our way had he stayed, but we'll never know now. I can't speak for my partner at the time, but I for one would've liked to know for sure whether we could beat them by our own hands instead of through an unfair advantage.

[She pauses for a beat, brushing a few strands of long black hair from her face.]

Izumi: And now Queen Mamba and I face JaMarcus Avery and Julia Braddock - another daunting pairing. Perhaps moreso than the one two weeks ago.

Janice: This time last year, you and Queen Mamba had a budding friendship and were gelling nicely as a team. How does it feel to be working with her once again?

[Izumi smiles at the thought.]

Izumi: I always liked Queen Mamba. She's bold and brash, unlike me. To be frank, I wasn't sure if we'd get along last year. Some might say that Queen Mamba is rough around the edges, but I think that's why she and I worked so well together. Now, fate would have it that we're united once more against a new opponent. Personally, I couldn't be happier for the opportunity. The only thing is...

[Izumi sighs aloud, revealing a hint of frustration with herself.]

Izumi: I made the terrible mistake of leaving, whereas Mamba stayed on. While I was battling opponents in other promotions, she was sharpening her teeth right here on Shotgun. She knows what it takes to survive and thrive in GCW, whereas I'm still trying to figure that out a year after the fact.

[She shakes her head, the frustration palpable in her tone.]

Izumi: It kind of feels like... even though we both started school at roughly the same time, she graduated and moved on to the next level whereas I failed final exams and had dropped out and had to start over from scratch. It's pretty embarassing, actually. And now...

[She trails off, trying to recompose herself.]

Izumi: Now after a year of going our separate ways, we regroup to face JaJu AKA JaMarcus and Julia. Two people who know their way around the GCW ring as well as anyone. Two people who know how to win in that same GCW ring. They must be thinking what easy pickings they've been handed, with a recently struggling Queen Mamba and an untested first year dropout. It must feel like this is going to be a cake walk for them, like they won't even have to break a sweat. They'll put on a clinic, maybe try out some new tricks, and then...

[She wipes her hands together as if clearing some loose debris.]

Izumi: Finish us off in record time.

[Rather than ask more questions, Janice just remains silent, continuing the hold the microphone to Izumi's lips.]

Izumi: Now I realize that no matter what I say, you'll just blow it off as nothing more than hot air from a known quitter. But allow me to plant a simple warning in the back of your minds. Don't be surprised.

[And now Janice perks up.]

Janice: Could elaborate on that?

[Izumi nods her head.]

Izumi: Hai. Don't be surprised when Queen Mamba and Izumi Sato prove more than a simple cake walk. Don't be surprised when, despite your best efforts, we refuse to go down without a fight. Don't be surprised when you start feeling your advantages slipping away, when victory starts to slip between your fingers like sand. Don't be surprised, because it's going to take all your combined mental prowess to defeat us. Because if you overlook us, it's going to take all you can muster to stay focused on attaining victory. Queen Mamba and I will not go down easily. We will not be overwhelmed, no matter how much you want for that to happen

[She shakes her head, her long black hair swishing this way and that.]

Izumi: We may be the obvious underdogs in this match, Janice, but I've been an underdog my whole life. The worse things get, the harder I fight to overcome the odds. Queen Mamba might not be an underdog, but she's fiery. There's a hunger for victory that swells within her. So get ready, JaJu, because Queen Mamba and Izumi Sato will not back down, and we will not give up.

[Another shake of her head.]

Izumi: I may have made a critical mistake by leaving GCW last year, but I'm done quitting! Now, I plan on being the partner Queen Mamba deserved a year ago, and together overcoming the odds, and beating JaMarcus Avery and Julia Braddock! NYAH!

Janice: Well Izumi, thank you for your time, and good luck tonight going up against JaJu, er... JaMarcus and Julia.

[Izumi smiles at Janice' use of the JaJu label.]

Izumi: Hai, and thank you Janice.

[The Pure Heart Warrior slips away to the right as we cut away.]

The Crowes vs Total War

[Drake and Mark were the two that started the match and as you could expect, it was a battle of brute force. Mark came in with a lariat. Drake countered with a running knee to the sternum, Mark managed to come back with a belly to belly suplex, Drake answered back with a backbreaker. Ultimately, it would be Drake taking control after a gutwrench suplex! Drake knocked around Mark for a bit, culminating with a spinning side slam! Drake made the cover, but Mark kicked out. Drake tagged Eliza in. Eliza tried to come in with a cross body splash from the top rope, but Mark was able to counter it by lifting his knees. Mark then had some fun, taking advantage of the obviously inexperienced Eliza. Eliza got beat around the ring a bit with a backbreaker, a swinging neckbreaker and a running powerslam. A pin after the last move resulted in Drake breaking things up. Sophie was tagged in next. Sophie tried to pin Eliza, but Eliza played possum and caught her in a small package. Mark was tossed out of the ring by Drake and he and Eliza double teamed Sophie for a bit until they nailed her with a double flapjack. Eliza went for the cover, but Sophie kicked out. Eliza tagged Drake back in. Mark nailed him with a spear. Sophie took control from there, attempting to torture him with submissions for a while until she brought down Drake with a vicious float over DDT! Sophie would cover, but Drake would kick out. Both teams fought hard in the end, but ultimately, the fight spilled outside of the ring and then turned into a brawl. The referee tried his best to maintain control, but with nobody abiding by the law, he had no choice but to throw the match out.]

RESULT: No Contest

[The two teams would continue to brawl much to the amusement and delight of the crowd until security finally came down to break up the fight. Once security managed to separate both teams from one another, the fans booed as they had wanted to see more and ultimately, they were all escorted to the back through the crowd in different directions. The announcers were talking about how things got out of control and how ultimately when it came to these two teams, nothing was resolved. There was some curiosity as to whether this would lead to anything bigger down the road as the fans continued to lament the no contest result.]

Backstage

Chantelle Chambers can be seen preparing for her upcoming match against Ian McKinnon. As she stretches out, her toned legs flexing as it sits upon a perch, GCW Interviewess extraordinaire Brittany Kayl approaches. Before she can begin asking her questions, Chantelle begins the conversation.

Chambers: “Whatever you want to ask, I’m sure it can wait.”

Brittany pauses, scratching her head a bit. Chantelle finishes working over her leg before bringing it down, standing next to Kayl.

Chambers: “Now, what idiotic clichéd question are you going to lob to me today?”

Kayl: “I was just…”

Chambers: “Going to ask me about Ian McKinnon? Going to ask me about what happened last week when Christy Hightower and I attacked The Sisterhood during their match with Total War? Going to ask me about backing away from Total War after the damage to the Sisterhood was done? Is that what you were going for?”

Kayl: “Actually…”

Chambers: “Fine… One – Ian McKinnon? Suck it up, bitch. So your old buddy BROOKFORD was mean to you. You moping around like some high school girl who just wants some attention isn’t attractive. Two – Christy and I went after The Sisterhood because we could. Who was going to stop us? You? We wanted to send a message before we get our DESERVES World Tag Team Title match. Period. Three – We didn’t “back down” from Total War. We did what we set out to do and decided that, with nothing else to do, we could take our leave. ANYONE who tells you differently is lying to pretend they’re actually smart. Now, will you leave me alone?”

Brittany clears her throat.

Kayl: “Actually, I just wanted to know where you get your tanning lotion? It really seems to work well for you.”

Chantelle scowls at her before storming off, shaking her head. Brittany laughs a bit.

Kayl: “What? It was an honest question.”

The scene shifts…

Chelsea: THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!

[Chelsea Summers is in an extremely volatile mood in the hallway as she walks down toward Allison Mayberry’s office. Chelsea turns around and notices that the camera is on and recording her.]

Chelsea: GOOD! You want to see this! I am going to march down the office to that BITCH and I am going to tell her that she is a HORRIBLE PERSON!!!!

Cameraman: Um… why?

Chelsea: BECAUSE SHE IS CONSPIRING AGAINST ME THAT’S WHY!

Cameraman: Oh no…

Chelsea: Shut up and just follow me, okay?

[Chelsea walks down the hallway with the cameraman in tow until she reaches Allison’s office. Chelsea wastes no time banging on the door, almost as if she wants to bust it down.]

Chelsea: BITCH! Open up! I know you’re in there! OPEN UP, BITCH! LET ME IN! Why are you trying to SABOTAGE ME? You are making me team with the worst fucking wrestler in GCW HISTORY!?!?!?! IT’S A CONSPIRACY! This does NOT equal RATINGS! The stupid little people don’t WANT to see Madame Santos on MY television show! So, I demand that you come out here and you change the match or else I will BUST DOWN THIS DOOR AND KICK YOUR ASS!!!!!

Cameraman: Oh my god…

Chelsea: I WILL KICK YOUR FUCKING ASS! And then I will SUE YOU! I will get my daddy and I will get EVERY DIME AND CENT from GCW!!!! Oh if he were here right now, he would be…

Voice: I would be what?!?!?!

[The scene pans revealing a man that Chelsea is obviously very familiar with. Chelsea’s eyes widen in surprise at the sight of her own father.]

Chelsea: Daddy?

Mr. Summers: What’s going on?

Chelsea: Daddy, they’re trying to sabotage me!

Mr. Summers: Do you even know what that word means?

Chelsea: Yes. It means the act of intentionally trying to ruin someone!

[The crowd lets out a sarcastic cheer at the fact that Chelsea actually knows what “sabotage” means.]

Mr. Summers: Right. And you think she’s trying to sabotage you by making you team up with someone that hasn’t won a match in two years, correct?

Chelsea: YES! Daddy, that’s corruption! You can sue her for that and that’s what I am going to do!

Mr. Summers: Don’t you worry, sweetheart. Ms. Mayberry invited me here tonight so we can work it all out. Trust me, we know that you’re going to get what’s best for you when it’s all said and done.

Chelsea: Are you gonna sue her, daddy? Tell me you are! PLEASE!

Mr. Summers: I am not at liberty to tell. Worry about your match first, okay?

[Chelsea nods as she turns and watches her father leave.]

Chelsea: Okay…

[Chelsea pauses and completely calms down after that interaction that just took place.]

Cameraman: Chels… you know that Allison wasn’t in there right?

Chelsea: Oh son of a….

[At that point, the scene abruptly cuts, with the crowd beginning to wonder exactly what was going to happen later with her father being in the building.]

JaMarcus Avery & Julia Braddock vs Queen Mamba & Izumi Sato

[Julia and Izumi started this match as there was definitely much pride on the line. Julia took some time to feel out an unfamiliar opponent but Izumi would try to make an impact right off the bat. She would, as she kept the former world champion cornered, but Julia responded with a shove to keep some distance. Izumi went for a corner splash but Julia moved out of the way. Izumi stumbled back into a back body drop from Julia who then went technical, locking in a headscissors chokehold on Izumi. Izumi wouldn’t tap so after the hold was broken, Julia would punish her with moves like a tornado DDT and a running forearm smash. Julia covered but Sato kicked out. JaMarcus was tagged in. Powerbomb attempt was countered into a hurricanrana by Sato who took control. Sato chose to wear down JaMarcus. A cloverleaf started the process and Sato kept it going with a muta lock and a camel clutch. Sato struck JaMarcus with a knee to the gut afterward and brought him down with a running cutter! Cover, but JaMarcus kicked out. Tag to Mamba was made. Frog splash attempt was blocked. JaMarcus went to the power game. Shoulder breaker! Then came a running spinebuster and then came a running shoulder tackle. After connecting with a spinning side slam, he made the cover, but Mamba kicked out. Julia was tagged back in. Julia went for a spinning heel kick, but it was ducked. Mamba would then take command from there. Mamba struck back with moves like a springboard lariat, a double arm DDT, an STO and a Northern lights. Pinfall attempt! Julia kicked out. Izumi was tagged back in. But then JaMarcus and Julia would control the next few minutes, isolating her. Eventually, a springboard bulldog from Sato would get Julia and Mamba back into the swing of things. Mamba held her own for a while, even nailing a diving headbutt. However, JaMarcus came in from behind and nailed her with an electric chair slam! Julia got Mamba up near the corner only to nail her with the Queen’s Ransom! Cover was made. Izumi tried to intercept, but JaMarcus gave her a spear! The fans groaned as the referee counted three!]

WINNERS: Julia Braddock and JaMarcus Avery

[The fans booed the pair as they both got up to get their hands raised in victory and Julia was definitely laughing and joyous over the win that she just got before she and JaMarcus exchanged a kiss standing above Queen Mamba who was being checked on the referee. The broadcast team reluctantly admitted that Julia and JaMarcus certainly had a hard fought win before wondering about Mamba and whether or not she had hit a slump since Resurrection had come and gone. Sato was able to at least sit up in the corner, clutching her chest as she watched Julia and JaMarcus walk out of the ring to continue to celebrate their win, knowing they had sent a message to Glory Braddock and Darian Andrews.]

Andrews: “So, Glory… what’s the game plan?”

Darian Andrews can be seen posing in front of a mirror, as though he was psyching himself up to talk to Glory Braddock, his tag team partner this evening. Deterred, he shakes his head.

Andrews: “Dammit, Darian… Izumi Sato did this exact same thing two weeks ago.”

As he dissuades himself from doing the “mock question asking” motif, there is a knock at his locker-room door. He goes over to it, answering…

Andrews: “Y’ello?”

On the other side of the door stands his tag team partner for the night… Glory Braddock. Darian is almost floored.

Braddock: “Ready?”

Andrews: “Well… yeah, but shouldn’t we talk strategy? Figure something out? A good plan of attack?”

Braddock: “… It’s Chelsea Summers and Madame Santos. Relax. We got this.”

Glory heads on her way over towards the ring as Darian nods…

Andrews: “Yeah… yeah, we got this.”

Looking off, he notices Glory getting farther away. He frantically follows…

Andrews: “Hey! Wait up!”

The scene shifts.

Chantelle Chambers vs Ian McKinnon

Chantelle paces around, waiting for McKinnon to arrive on the scene. Growing more and more agitated, she goes to the corner and takes the microphone.

Chambers: “Come on, McKinnon… I haven’t got all day.”

Hopping back in the ring, she moves over to the referee, who shrugs his shoulders.

Chambers: “For real? You got your poor little feelings hurt, so you’re going to no show on this match? You’re a fool, you know that? You’re going to throw away the opportunity to have some exposure in my spotlight because you’re going through a rough patch with your girlfriend. You make me sick!”

The crowd boos this needless antagonism, but Chantelle doesn’t care.

Chambers: “You know what? Fine… I don’t care. You DESERVE to be sad, and you DON’T deserve to bask in MY glow! So referee… do your job and begin counting Ian out!”

The referee hesitates, unsure of what he should do. This only annoys Chambers further.

Chambers: “Di-di-DID I FREAKING STUTTER!? He’s not coming… count him out NOW and raise MY arm in victory!”

The referee shrugs his shoulders and begins the count…

ONE…

TWO…

THREE…

Chantelle begins to nod along with the count.

FOUR…

FIVE…

Just then, a figure emerges from the back. It’s Allison Mayberry.

Mayberry: “Sir… hold your count.”

The crowd roars as the referee stops.

Chambers: “What are you doing? McKinnon bailed on you! He doesn’t want any of this…”

Mayberry: “No, I can see that and it’s quite unfortunate. But that doesn’t mean I have to allow THIS to continue.”

Chambers: “Fine… just name me the victor without having the count. I don’t care! I win again!”

Chantelle turns her back to Allison, raising her arms to celebrate. Allison, however, shakes her head.

Mayberry: “You may want to cut your celebration just a little bit short.”

The crowd roars again as Chantelle turns around in protest.

Mayberry: “Because I found you a replacement opponent…”

Chambers: “Replacement? I didn’t prepare for a replacement…”

Mayberry: “Don’t worry… she’ll suitably test you. And I think she’s on her way out here right… now…”

Chambers: “This isn’t fair! Why are you acting against me again!?”

As Chantelle protests, Hayley Gold emerges from the back. Chantelle, having the microphone taken from her, clearly is unhappy with this decision… but she doesn’t have a choice…

Chantelle Chambers vs. Hayley Gold

[Hayley Gold came storming out of the box attacking Chantelle right as the bell rang as her recent career slide was definitely motivating her to come out of this with some form of victory. Hayley pinned Chantelle in the corner before she brought her down with a running bulldog. Hayley would stay on Chantelle, choosing to wear her out. Hayley would trap Chantelle in moves like a Boston crab, a cross armbreaker and a camel clutch, but Chantelle would find her way out of both of them. Hayley then focused on a flashier offense. A pele kick did wonders, as did a Fisherman’s suplex and finally a springboard frogsplash. Hayley would cover, but Chantelle kicked out. Hayley went for a shoulder tackle, but Chantelle ducked it and at this point, she would take some control. After taking her down with a back suplex, Chantelle nailed her with a standing moonsault into a cover, but Hayley kicked out. Chantelle showboated a bit before continuing to be in control. Hayley didn’t appear to have an answer for moves like a jawbreaker, a top rope flying senton and a handspring corner elbow/running bulldog combination. Chantelle would cover, but Hayley would kick out. Chantelle measured Hayley. Chantelle would go for the “Worship”, but Hayley would roll out of the way. Hayley nailed “Stuck in the Mine” and would make the immediate cover, but Chantelle kicked out again. Hayley would go for the Gold Club Legdrop, but Chantelle knew it was coming and got up in the knick of time. Hayley landed on her feet, but Chantelle nailed her with the Nightly Knockout right into the jaw. The fans groaned and the air was completely let out of the building as the fans knew it was over, and it would be as Chantelle would turn Hayley over and ultimately make the pinfall that would lead to her victory.]

WINNER: Chantelle Chambers

[Chantelle got her hand raised, but she snatched it away from the referee almost instantly and looked down at Hayley flashing the “L” sign at her before scoffing and arrogantly leaving the ring. Chantelle completely ignored the fans as they booed her and the announcers talked about how Hayley once again gave it everything, but once again, it wasn’t enough. They also discussed Chantelle and whether or not she had set the tone for Cody and Christy later in the night considering the win she just got over an opponent she wasn’t even prepared to face would potentially be something that could be a catalyst for a heck of a positive night for the trio. The referee checked on Hayley Gold who sat up and held her jaw having dealt with quite a painful blow just now.]

[Allison Mayberry is sitting in her office, minding her own business for the most part and drinking a cup of coffee as she’s largely relaxed. But, this is about to be tested as she hears a knock on the door.]

Allison: Come in.

[The door opens and former GCW World Champion Victoria Salinas walks in, looking both dejected and despondent.]

Allison: Vicky…

[Victoria shuts the door behind her.]

Allison: Listen, I am SO sorry about two weeks ago. I HATE seeing a world championship lost in a fashion like that. I know how much that championship means to you, but I have no doubt in my mind that you are very much capable of winning it back and it won’t take you as long as it did to win it the second time either.

Victoria: Allison…

Allison: Oh right… what Adrian said earlier about “no rematch clause”. Believe me, I’m on it and we’re going to expose that as the fraud that we all know that is. After all....

[Victoria raises a hand to catch Allison’s attention a little more.]

Allison: What’s wrong?

Victoria: I’m not worried about that right now. I’m a competitor. I will push through, you know that. But what in the world are you thinking?

Allison: About?

Victoria: You know what I’m referring to. You know me, I’ll take on anyone at any given time, but Axl? Tonight? Seriously?

Allison: Vicky, don’t take it personal, please? You and Axl were definitely on the verge of falling out. I get that you were stressed and that you blew him off and all but as the saying goes, everything ultimately gets settled in the ring. This isn’t to pop a rating or anything. I figure it’s a better way to air things all out than marriage counseling ever could. Okay? Now I know this is going to be a tough test for you, and I know two weeks ago is a fresh, flesh wound, but how you react to adversity is going to define your legacy: world championship or not. Plus, to be completely honest with you, if there was one criticism I could give you about your title run, it’s the fact that you leaned on Axl JUST a little too much.

Victoria: Uh… yeah! I’m engaged to the guy.

Allison: I understand. But he’s not going to be there all the time to comfort you, you know what I’m saying? You’re a strong woman, Vicky. You were a hell of a champion and you lived up to your redemption promise and THEN some. I have no doubt in my mind you’ll be champion again. You need to detach wrestling from real life sometimes and tonight is one of those nights. You’re entering a stage of your career where more is expected out of you, especially from me.

Victoria: So what is it that you want from me?

Allison: Vicky, your 20’s are almost over. Some people in this locker room, particularly the younger talent… they look up to you. I expect you to set a positive example for them every time you step into a GCW ring. You’re going through a lot, and I get that. But I need you to be as strong as you can, okay? You can fight this match tonight, I trust that in you. Alright?

Victoria: Alright.

Allison: Trust me, it’s all going to work out for the better.

Victoria: I trust you.

[Victoria takes a deep breath before she turns around and leaves the scene. She’s trying to hold it altogether right now knowing that the match in front of her is going to take a heck of a lot out of her.]

“Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock…”

(We show Glory Braddock, The British Bombshell, backstage.)

Glory: Do you hear that, Julia? Tick, Tock…Tick, Tock…Tick, Tock…that is the countdown, the countdown to a massive reality check that you have needed for a very long time, and the countdown to the end of this bitter rivalry between you and I, and believe me, it WILL END at For Glory & Gold in the 60 Minute Iron Woman Match, because I will leave everything I have in the center of that ring. For 60 minutes you will get the best of The British Bombshell and at the end of those 60 minutes you will know that I am The Best in the World.

(She nods her head.)

Glory: And yeah, that reality check is definitely needed. At Resurrection you earned a submission victory over me. I congratulated you and I hoped you and I both could move on but you had to take victory lap after victory lap, over and over, gloating to the world, continually talking about it, beating that dead horse again and again. You could have lived your dream forever, ended this rivalry thinking you were better than me.

(She shakes her head.)

Glory: But no, because you wouldn’t shut your damn mouth about it, now I will bring you back into reality, at For Glory & Gold I will re-introduce you to the reality that I am The Best in the World, because if it takes me 6 minutes or even if it takes me all 60 minutes, I will defeat you and prove to you that you are nothing special. Now as for tonight…

(She chuckles.)

Glory: Chelsea Summers, you and Madame Santos drew the worst end of the straw because you have an amazingly talented Darian Andrews standing side by side with a very determined British Bombshell who has a lot to prove and we will come out victorious. The time is running out for you, Chelsea, just as it is running out for Julia… Tick, Tock…Tick, Tock…Tick, Tock…

(Glory winks at the camera before walking away.)

Glory Braddock & Darian Andrews vs Chelsea Summers & Madame Santos

[Darian had initially stepped in the ring to start the match but when that happened, Chelsea let Santos step into the ring. The bell then rang and Darian and Santos were the two that started it and obviously, Darian dominated the entire way through as Santos took shot after shot while Chelsea looked embarrassed in the corner. Santos took a back suplex, a facebuster and a brainbuster all in succession. Darian went for the cover, but Santos kicked out. Darian went to the corner and tagged in Glory. As soon as Glory went in, Chelsea snuck in from behind and dropped her with a Russian legsweep. She scurried out of the ring while Darian chased her out of it and returned to her corner. This gave Santos enough time to get back to her corner and Chelsea tagged herself in. Chelsea pounced on Glory and punched her repeatedly until Glory fought back and threw her down to the mat. Glory went for an elbow but Chelsea rolled out of the way. Chelsea then started to go on the attack against Glory, even showing her own much to the shock of the crowd. Chelsea dropped Glory with an enziguri and then followed up with a running cutter and a standing moonsault. Chelsea went for the cover, but Glory kicked out. Chelsea went for a top rope cross body, but Glory caught her and slammed her to the mat. This gave her time to tag in Darian Andrews. Chelsea’s eyes widened and she went back to the corner, tagging Madame Santos back in. Chelsea then rolled out of the ring and walked up the ramp and to the back abandoning her own partner. And from there, Darian and Glory dominated. Glory was eventually tagged back in and picked apart Santos. Pele kick. Swinging neckbreaker. Excelsis Dio. Glorification. Shekninah Glory. Game over… Santos immediately tapped which drew cheers from the crowd.

WINNERS: Glory Braddock & Darian Andrews.

[Darian got back in the ring to celebrate with Glory, but this wouldn’t last long as Chelsea Summers returned to the ring and low blowed Darian from behind. Darian crumpled to the ground and Chelsea pounced on him and started beating on him. Glory plucked Chelsea off of Darian and threw her down to the mat. Chelsea then quickly rolled out of the ring and booked it but this distraction was enough for Julia Braddock and JaMarcus Avery to invade the ring through the crowd and jump Glory from behind. The two cornered her and stomped on her until JaMarcus noticed Darian getting up. JaMarcus flattened Darian with the Court Marshalled. Julia then took out Glory with the Queen’s Ransom. The two stood above their adversaries to boos from the crowd as the announcers condemned them for their actions.]

Samuel Price can be seen sitting inside a room.

Price: “Thank you for joining me. My guest at this time is former GCW Television Champion, Nate Lawson. Nate, thank you for your time.”

Nate nods.

Price: “Nate, why don’t you take us through what you’ve been up to since GCW Resurrection where the Television Championship was retired and you were unable to secure the victory for the GCW Heritage Championship?”

Nate smirks.

Lawson: “That’s how you’re going to start this?”

Price: “It’s a valid question.”

Lawson: “Yeah… it’s a valid question. How about you ask about Dominic Baine jumping me from behind last month because that’s the only God-damn way he could get one over on me? How about you ask about our one on one match, where the ONLY reason I didn’t make him tap out then was because his manager got involved? See, I’m getting pretty sick and tired of people like Dominic Baine coming out here, flouting the rules and getting rewarded for it. It’s not just here… you look at the industry all over the place – what encouragement is there for someone to do things the right way when the Dominic Baines of the world are going to take every shortcut and cheap trick available to sneak ahead?”

Price: “Well, looking at two weeks ago…”

Lawson chuckles, nodding his head.

Lawson: “Exactly. Two weeks ago, Dominic could have made a statement by actually fighting me like a man, but instead chose the coward’s way. And that really says it all, doesn’t it? The GCW Heritage Champion… the first Heritage Champion… is nothing more than a cheap-shotting coward.”

Price: “A few days ago, Dominic indicated that he wasn’t going to be at Shotgun this week… your thoughts?”

Lawson: “Do I believe him? If I were to walk around that backstage area, would he jump me from behind again? Or is THIS where he decides to show an modicum of integrity? Look… I don’t care what he does when he’s not booked. He’s ducking me… that’s pretty plain to see. He’s trying to tell anyone who would listen that I don’t deserve an opportunity at the Heritage Championship when… you look back at Resurrection… he never pinned me. He never made me submit. As far as I’m concerned, I’m owed a one on one match against him. He can try and claim I belong at the back of the line as much as he wants. He can say that until he’s blue in the face. I will not stop… I will not be dissuaded… until I get him in the ring one on one. And when that does… when I lock on the Elite Gogoplata… there will be NOTHING left for Dominic Baine to do but tap out and become noted as the first ever Heritage Champion to lose the Championship! That’s his destiny. For me… it’s only a matter of time.”

Price: “Any closing remarks?”

Lawson turns directly to the camera.

Lawson: “Only one and it’s to Allison Mayberry… do the right thing. Make the match. I’ll do the rest.”

Price: “Thank you again for your time…”

The scene shifts…

Victoria Salinas vs Axl Austin

[Considering the circumstances, this was definitely an emotional match for the former GCW World Champion. The two seemed reluctant to fight at first. Axl extended his hand to her but Victoria slapped him across the face which surprised the crowd a bit. Victoria unleashed some fury toward Axl at the start of the match, punching him into the corner and then bringing him down with a bulldog. On the early outset, Victoria used her speed to her advantage, bringing Axl down with a springboard forearm, a hurricanrana and a tilt-o-whirl headscissors. Victoria would go for the cover, but Axl would kick out. Victoria didn’t hesitate to go for a moonsault, but Axl rolled out of the way. Axl seemed reluctant to compete in the match and it got a bit harder when Victoria got up. Axl brought her down with a back body drop. He then got her up and brought her back down with a sidewalk slam as the discomfort on his face was clearly showing. Axl locked her in a Boston crab that Victoria escaped from. He would follow up with a kneebar that she also got out of. Axl used a bit of power to his advantage connecting with an array of suplexes culminating with a bridging suplex that led to a cover that Victoria kicked out of. Axl went for a Ranhei, but Victoria blocked it and shoved him into the corner. Victoria went for a corner splash but Axl moved out of the way. Victoria stumbled back toward him and… AYATOLLAH OF P’COLA! Victoria went down in the center of the ring and Axl crawled toward her, hesitation a bit before he made the cover. The referee made the count but Victoria KICKED OUT! Axl went up top and went for a corkscrew moonsault. Victoria rolled out of the way and Axl missed it! Victoria got to her knees looking conflicted as Axl got up. She stood up and measured him, nailing him with a running kick to the gut. She followed up with a Busaiku knee kick to the head which brought him down to the mat. Victoria then took a deep breath as she got to the top. Axl slowly got up and she leaped from the top nailing a tilt-o-whirl headscissors, but she transferred that to a Christos armbar in the center of the ring. Axl collapsed to his knees and then completely to the mat. Axl had nowhere to go and he had no other choice but to tap out.]

WINNER (by submission): Victoria Salinas

[As soon as the bell rang, Victoria broke the hold. She rolled away from Axl, turning her back toward him as she found it hard to look at him. While she processed what just happened, Adrian Waters ran into the ring and pounced on Axl, pummeling the crap out of him for a bit until Victoria turned and saw what was happening. Right on cue, Victoria got up and pounced on Adrian to get him off of Axl and Adrian did the wise thing and preserved himself for his title defense later tonight as he rolled out of the ring. He went back up the ramp with a smirk on his face before he left. Back in the ring once she realized everything was okay, Victoria’s emotions got the better of her and she rolled out of the ring and walked up the ramp, unable to come to terms with the match that just happened at that moment. The referee checked on Axl who seemed to be okay, but the announcers were wondering about the psychological state of mind of the former GCW World Champion and how these last few Shotguns have taken a toll on her.]

[Chelsea Summers is seen laughing as she walks down the hallway. She’s grabbing her bag and carrying her things as she walks into the catering area.]

Voice: Chelsea… Chelsea!!!

[Chelsea turns to see her father approaching her.]

Chelsea: Hey.

Mr. Summers: So, I saw what you did earlier.

Chelsea: I wasn’t going to have it, daddy! That was a protest.

Mr. Summers: Right, and you have every right to do that if you want but please, we need to meet in Ms. Mayberry’s office right now.

Allison: Actually, that won’t be necessary.

[The scene pans revealing Allison Mayberry who looks quite displeased. Allison at this point can only laugh and shake her head.]

Allison: What are you doing?

Chelsea: Look! You clearly have it out against me and you were trying to sabotage me.

Allison: No, I was testing you. If you’re so damn good to the point where “wrestling doesn’t matter”, I thought I’d see how you would do when you have a less than ideal tag team partner. Now, you actually did hang in there against Glory quite well. I’m impressed, but my god, you are the biggest migraine in professional wrestling right now. I mean… it’s so sad that I even had to schedule a glorified parent-teacher conference.

Chelsea: Sue her, daddy! That’s what we’re here for.

Mr. Summers: Actually no, that’s not the case. Ms. Mayberry, I apologize for the way my special daughter behaves on a constant basis. You see, part of it is due to the fact that Myra Lynwood has…

Allison: Mr. Summers, with all due respect, I am not buying that. I am tired of Chelsea making a total disgrace of Shotgun, GCW and worst of all herself on social media. It seems like no matter what I do, she just keeps going and going and going….

Mr. Summers: Sounds like her high school relationships….

Chelsea: DAD!!!!!

Allison: Right, but you get the point. Now, if you want to take me to court, take me to court but believe me, it’s a lawsuit that you’re not going to win. I brought you here so you can set your daughter straight because whether she appreciates it or not, she actually has the potential to be a hell of a wrestler and a hell of an asset on Shotgun and I’d hate to see that go to waste because you didn’t know how to be a proper parent. It wouldn’t be fair to your daughter now, would it?

Mr. Summers: You’re right, it wouldn’t.

Chelsea: Huh? What does any of this even mean?

Mr. Summers: Chelsea, I’m sorry.

Chelsea: About what?

Mr. Summers: Ms. Mayberry is right.

Chelsea: WHAT?!?!?!?!?

Mr. Summers: I gave you everything you ever wanted without making you earn it, especially after your mother and I split. I thought maybe giving you everything in the world would make you happy but I see the error of my thinking. I have done a complete disservice to you as a father and for that, I am sorry. You’re an adult. You need to start acting like it.

Chelsea: Daddy… the whole world is watching…

Allison: That’s the point!

Mr. Summers: I don’t want to see it anymore Chelsea. I don’t want to see your whining. I don’t want to see your awful social media behavior. I’m done. I’m not going to hold your hand anymore. If you ever want anything from me, you are going to have to earn it just like you are going to ahve to earn everything here in GCW. All in all, you need to stop being a little bitch.

[The crowd lets out an “ooooooh” sound as her father begins to walk away. Chelsea’s eyes widen in shock to the point where she can’t move or even say anything in response.]

Allison: Are we clear now in what I expect out of you? Now you know how I feel when I see you act the way you do. Embarrassing, isn’t it?

Chelsea: Y… yeah…

Allison: Lesson learned?

Chelsea: Yeah…

[Chelsea nods, completely humbled by what just happened.]

Chelsea: Lesson learned…

Allison: Good! I’ll see you in two weeks. Take care.

[Allison smiles before she turns and walks away. Chelsea continues to remain shellshocked by what just happened as the scene fades.]

The Sisterhood vs Cody Lindberg Knight & Christy Hightower

[Cody and Christy stand in the middle of the ring waiting for the Sisterhood to come out. But instead of the Sisterhood, it’s Allison Mayberry who shakes her head with disapproval.]

Allison: I HATE having to do this again. Due to the ridiculous stink bomb tactics of one Alexander Midas, I regret to inform you all that Angelica and Kayla are in no medical condition to compete and as such, I have no choice but to regretfully announce, that via forfeit, your winners are…

Voice: Now hold on just a minute…

[The crowd cheers as Marie Jones comes out with a microphone.]

Marie: They’re not going to win a match like that. As far as I’m concerned, I am more than willing to stand up for my mother and aunt and fight this match in their place.

Allison: Marie, that’s very noble of you and all, but there’s still two of them and one of you!

Voice: Not so fast!

[Katherine Prescott comes out to cheers from the crowd.]

Katherine: I want a piece of Mr. Knight so I think we have ourselves a tag team match.

[Allison smiles at this as the crowd cheers.]

Allison: Alright! Great! We’ve got ourselves a match! Cody, Christy… sorry but… you’re not getting it easy tonight. You will now be facing the team of Marie Jones and Katherine Prescott! Good luck!

[Allison makes her way to the back while Marie and Katherine make their way to the ring.]

Marie Jones and Katherine Prescott vs. Cody Knight and Christy Hightower

[Marie and Cody were the two in the ring that started the match. They fought a bit of a technical wrestling classic until of course, Cody broke tradition and dropped Marie with a standing headbutt. Cody would then take the next few minutes overpowering Marie with moves like a pumphandle slam, a gutwrench suplex and a running powerslam. Cody would go for the cover after the latter, but Marie kicked out. Cody went to the corner and tagged in Christy who went to the top rope. Marie got up and Christy went for a missile dropkick, but Marie dodged it and Christy landed spine first in the center of the ring. Marie took advantage with a bridge pin, but Christy kicked out. Marie stayed on her though, first with submissions like a surfboard and a cobra clutch and then with more impactful moves like a running knee to the skull, a butterfly suplex and a springboard bulldog. Marie went for the cover, but Christy kicked out. Marie tagged Katherine in and she went to the top. Katherine went for a hurricanrana, but Christy countered and floored her with a powerbomb. Christy would wear out Katherine with a sleeper hold before completely outpacing her. Katherine just didn’t have an answer for impact moves like a forward Russian legsweep and an Impaler DDT, or for aerial moves like a missile dropkick and a springboard shoulder block. Christy brought down Katherine with an enziguri and went for the cover, but Katherine kicked out. Christy tagged Cody back in. Cody tried to end it quickly with International Treasure, but Katherine countered at the last moment and then began to take it to the X-Division Champion. Katherine nailed an enziguri of her own, and continued to follow up with a yakuza kick, a springboard missile dropkick and a tornado facebuster! The fans got behind Katherine with this rally and she made a cover, but Cody kicked out. The rest of the match would play out more like a back and forth affair until it got to a point where Cody and Christy picked apart Katherine and kept isolating her from the corner until Katherine countered an attempted Cody suplex with a double knee backbreaker after she landed on her feet. Christy and Marie were tagged in after a tied corner race. It was evenly matched, before Marie began to take control. Marie brought down Christy with a running lariat that drove her hard into the mat. She then signaled for the end, but Cody jumped her. Katherine then jumped Cody and the referee lost his focus on the match to try and separate the two. This gave Alexander Midas an opening to bolt down the ramp with a lead pipe, enter the ring and smack Marie in the back of the head with it. Marie went down and then Midas got her up and brought her back down with the Golden Rule! Christy hadn’t recovered from the lariat, but Midas dragged Christy onto Marie for a cover. Cody and Katherine spilled outside of the ring giving the referee an opening to focus on the match again. Midas left the ring laughing as the referee turned around and made the three count much to the chagrin of the fans.]

WINNERS: Cody Lindberg-Knight and Christy Hightower

[Cody got back in the ring and pounced on Marie Jones, as he wasn’t satisfied with just the win. Christy then recovered and it was a two on one assault until Katherine slid in to even the score. It seemed like she was in control again, but when Alexander Midas and Chantelle Chambers hit the ring, it became a four on two assault that Katherine and Marie stood no chance against. Marie and Katherine took a double powerbomb from Midas & Chantelle and Cody & Christy respectively. It didn’t get any better for Katherine as Cody got her up only to bring her back down with the International Treasure. Midas rolled out of the ring satisfied with his work while the trio stood above Marie and Katherine while boos reigned down on them.]

[Shotgun fades in and we see GCW interviewer Janice King standing by.]

Janice: Ladies and gentlemen, with me at this time is former GCW World Champion Victoria Salinas.

[The crowd lets out a cheer as the scene pans to reveal Victoria standing next to her. She appears to be in a better mood after her win, but she looks like she’s still got ways to go.]

Janice: I know that was tough on you, but you went out there and you faced Axl Austin, managing to pick up the submission win over him. After going through all of that, how are you feeling right now?

Victoria: To be honest, I’m just glad it’s over with. I came in here, honestly feeling pretty damn dejected. I hadn’t felt this way ever since the “forced dye job” took place and the thing of it is, it wasn’t losing the world championship two weeks ago that put me in that state of mind, it was having to face Axl literally the Shotgun after the fact, especially after we had the blow up that we did. This wasn’t easy and yes, I won, but right now, I’m just glad that it’s done and over with.

Janice: I can tell with the way you got out of dodge as soon as you could. How much have you two spoken to each other in the last couple of weeks?

Victoria: Honestly? Not much. There’s so much emotions involved that I really don’t know what to think about it. I know I have my faults in it. I shouldn’t have blown him off like that two weeks ago, but at the same time, Allison makes a strong point. Maybe I was being a little too lenient on him. I guess deep down I knew it too which is why I went off on him the way I did. That’s the risk you run when you intertwine wrestling and romance, right? I don’t doubt that Axl and I are going to be fine, but right now, I need my own space and I need to take a breather because ever since Resurrection, I’ve been overwhelmed so much, as you could obviously guess.

Janice: You bet. You clearly haven’t had it easy. In fact, your win tonight was your first since Resurrection. Two weeks ago was pretty cruel in and of itself, but you’ve been through worse in GCW. I don’t think these fans doubt you’ll be able to rise through all of this.

Victoria: No, that much I know for sure. This isn’t anything NEAR those emotional breakdowns I used to have when things didn’t go my way. Honestly, I felt worse about the blow up I had with Axl than losing the World title especially in the fashion that I did. Don’t mistake that for a lack of priority though. I never moped about two weeks ago and I am not going to start now. I WILL take that championship back from Adrian Waters because believe me Janice, if you thought my burning desire was strong during my second GCW World Championship reign, oh you bet your ass it’s even STRONGER now… especially since one more World championship would put me past a certain former mentor of mine who had her career ended a week ago by Adrian’s “precious”. I’ve got that burning desire to surpass her, stand alone and become an overall FIVE TIME World Champion!

Janice: That’s great that from a wrestling perspective, you’re still very much upbeat. But what about Adrian and the stuff he said earlier?

[Victoria scoffs at the notion.]

Victoria: Hot air, Janice. Hot air. That’s all he is plus the world championship. I’m not a crier, I’m a FIGHTER! From this point forward, my drive for number five begins and when I get that rematch, I WILL make it happen!

Janice: Thanks Victoria.

[Victoria nods and takes a deep breath, feeling a little more confident in herself before she turns and leaves the scene.]

World Title Match.
Slade Merriman vs Adrian Waters [c]

[Adrian Waters was obviously confident but perhaps he was a bit OVERCONFIDENT as Slade came right out of the box as soon as the bell rang and dropped him with a running clothesline. Slade was completely fired up as Adrian retreated toward the corner. Slade wouldn’t let him get up as he kept stomping away at him until the referee finally got in there to break things up. Adrian was able to get up as a result, but Slade would drop him with a corner splash. Slade then grabbed Adrian and delivered a belly to belly suplex and got the cover, but Adrian would kick out at two. Slade got Adrian up and maintained control. The suplexes kept coming, but a spinebuster really shook the ring. With moves like a running powerslam and an electric chair suplex, he maintained control, but Adrian kicked out of the ensuing cover. Slade went for a diving elbow from the top but Adrian rolled out of the way and Slade crashed hard into the mat. This was the opening for the world champion as he took advantage right away with a crucifix armbar. Slade was able to escape, but the damage was done. Adrian followed up with moves like an armbreaker as well as an Alabama slam. Adrian would go for the cover after the latter move, but Slade kicked out. Adrian would stay on him though as he constantly wore him out with a small array of German suplexes. After that, he would nail him with a running knee to the head. A shoulder breaker would make some impact as Adrian covered again, but Slade kicked out. Adrian went submission for a few more minutes before he nailed Slade with a T-Bone suplex. Another cover, another kickout. Adrian went for another running knee, but Slade dodged it. Slade countered with a running swinging neckbreaker. Cover… no Adrian kicked out. Slade then went for a jacknife and nailed it! Slade covered but no, Adrian kicked out again. Adrian seemed worn out as Slade seemed to be going for the win. Adrian got up. Slade set up for the TLC, but Adrian with a desperation body shot caused Slade to lose hold of him. Slade stumbled back and Adrian then got him up and… USE YOUR HEAD! He wasn’t finished though as he went to the top rope and connected with the Super Smart Elbow! The fans groaned, knowing that was academic and it would be as Adrian made the cover and secured the win.]

Winner and STILL GCW World Champion: Adrian Waters

[Adrian was a bit gassed knowing he overcame a tougher challenge than he expected, but he was nonetheless pleased when he was handed the world title, raising it over his head as the crowd booed. Slade was groggy as he sat up, but he wasn’t up for long as Drake Crowe stormed the ring and pounced on him. Eliza wasn’t too far behind and the two then beat down on Slade to punish him even further. Adrian smirked before he put down the world championship and chose to join in to make it a three on one assault. Slade took a double DDT from the Crowes. They were setting up Slade for a triple powerbomb before Axl Austin slid into the ring. They put down Slade and went after Axl and while Axl fought hard, the odds were still against him. That is, until Victoria Salinas stormed down the ramp and into the ring, the crowd cheering as she started to help clean house. Slade recovered a bit and suddenly the odds were even. Slade clotheslined Drake out of the ring. Eliza slid out before Axl could get to her. Victoria made a beeline right for Adrian. Adrian tried to counter with a lariat, but Victoria ducked it. Adrian turned around right into a Busaiku knee kick to the head. Adrian went down and the Crowes were quick to pull him out of the ring. Adrian was groggy but conscious as the Crowes helped him up. Still, he was starting right at Victoria who was staring fury and anger right back at him as she was flanked by Slade and Axl. This staredown is what would end the night to the cheers of the crowd.]
