Livewire House Show - January 18, 2017 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Arena, Savannah, GA)


Matthew Bowden vs. Melanie Lundqvist

Bowden hoped to catch the rookie off-guard with an attack before the bell, but this backfired on him. Lungqvist hit a German suplex followed by several dropkicks, never looking back. A few short minutes later, she connected with the Supergirl Punch and got the 3.

Winner: Melanie Lungqvist (Pinfall, 3:38)


Da Bad News Baers vs. Brittny Kayl, Meagan Collins

Collins and Kayl came down to the ring to a very mixed reaction from the crowd, which they ignored...and when the bell rung, they were all business. The end came when Kayl hit Chris Baer with "The Spinoff," then tagged Collins, who hit the same Baer brother with "Bitter Pill" and covered for the 3 as Kayl drop kicked Eric Baer off the ring apron.

Winners: Kayl, Collins (Pinfall, 4:10)


AJ Cleary vs. Saul Ramsey

This contest started off with a bit of back and forth...but then Saul attempted to brawl with AJ, which proved to be a huge mistake. Cleary had Ramsey nearly out on his feet before performing the Kickout DDT. Now, Saul was out and Cleary covered for the 3 count.

Winner: AJ Cleary (Pinfall, 5:37)


Monroe Jones vs. The Truth

Realizing that Monroe was related to Archangel, Truth went after Monroe relentlessly, accusing him of all sorts of things throughout. The torment finally ended when he hit "Lie Detector."

Winner: The Truth (Pinfall, 2:57)


Darrion Andrews vs. Eric Chambers

Chambers had a little ring rust, which Andrews took advantage of early. However, Eric would fight back and the match was back and forth for quite a while. Things swayed back in Darrion's favor when Eric countered an attempted pile driver with a back drop. He quickly followed up with the "DVDT" and got the 1-2-3.

Winner: Darrion Andrews (Pinfall, 11:10)


Crystal Swift vs. Sophie O'Brian

Richard Dix accompanied Crystal to the ring, where the two made out until Sophie got tired of waiting in the gorilla position. She slammed the two lovers' heads togther and tossed Dix out of the ring and demanded the ref ring the bell. Swift fought back, but O'Brian fended her off before going on the offense, completely destroying Crystal before causing Swift to tap out to "Wisdom."

Winner: Sophie O'Brian (Submission, 4:02)


Caitlyn Perry vs. Jazmyn Rain

The former protege of Glory Braddock hung in there against the former Global Champion in the early portion of this match, and actually had a couple of pinfall attempts. However, Rain was too much for Perry as the match wore on, and Jazmyn hit the "Rain Drop" and covered for the 3.

Winner: Jazmyn Rain (Pinfall, 7:56)


MAIN EVENT - GCW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The Archangel (Champion) vs. Mark O'Brian

The Truth provided Mark O'Brian some assistance in this title match by protesting Archangel and the Lizard people from the floor. Mark, therefore, controlled the early portion of this event. He was violent, hell bent on breaking Archangel's skull before capturing the International title. He had a few close falls before Archangel started to rally back.

Truth, predictably, attempted to distract the champion again, but Laura Inglewood made an appearance, brawling with Truth out of the arena. Meanwhile, Mark was starting to lose control of the match. Jones hit "Our Lady Peace," then a "Hotshot." Mark kicked out of the pin, and Archangel locked in "Four Card Trick," but Mark got to the ropes. A second "Hotshot," however, followed by a swinging neckbreaker was too much and Archangel got the 1-2-3 to remain International champion.

Winner: Archangel (Pinfall, 16:25)
